03 / A change in perspective

From cause to care.

“Effective public health begins with listening to a community—and demands stronger evidence than enthusiasm alone.”

I began by asking what causes skin disease. Listening to patients and teaching students changed the question: how does it shape sleep, confidence, and ordinary life—and what kind of support actually helps?

That shift brought science, art, and public health into the same frame for me.
